Bloomington, IN
Got our first hit of weather yesterday. IN 46 had been kind to us for 80 miles but started growling hills and shrinking shoulders around Nashville, IN.

At the top of the kind of hill that drips your personal philosophy onto the pavement and shouts it evaporating back into your knees we hit wind spins and fall happened all at once.

Indiana's been seven weeks dry and droughting. Trees can't decide whether to turn orange or die. With just enough minutes of bluster and slap to get us down hills shaking the skies opened up.
The door we didn't knock on (Aurelia met us outside) held in all kinds of warm and dry. We three sweaty sat with three generations plus one cat couple through hail and flickering Dr. Phil. We found the perfect shelter.

Aurelia clipped coupons like a jedi and miracled us three days peanut butter (jar-a-day). The cats lived in a hole in the ceiling.

When the storm blew away in bits and pieces and we swallowed our last 11 miles to Bloomington, IN like big B12 with an empty carton of orange juice.

Keller Williams plays Bloomington tonight. It's basking sunny. Bloomington is stockpiling Karma and we're sticking around (just for today. We'll still go to California.
Probably.)

  3. NICE Lead! I met your crew the other evening around 7pm (after dark) as you were headed north on National Street in Springfield, MO. Good God, do we need a bikelane on that street or what? I'm working on it. I'm the representative Mom of the Murrs Across America. My husband, 4year old, and 2year old rode from St. Augustine, FL to Seaside, OR this summer. You can check out our website here: murrbike.com with photos on our public Facebook site. Would love to connect with you guys more. Love what you're doing. It is an important thing for folks to do and teach.

    Best wishes and ONWARD!
